What Is The Difference Between Rubber Foam And EVA

Mar 27, 2020

1.Different definitions

Rubber foaming: Rubber foaming is based on pure natural rubber. It is added with other raw materials, and a specific foaming agent is added. The product is obtained after hot pressing. The new rubber foaming technology uses a single injection molding technology.

EVA: In the field of chemistry and organic chemical industry, EVA refers to "ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer" and its rubber-plastic foaming material, with the molecular formula (C2H4) x. (C4H6O2) y.

2. Different advantages

Rubber foaming: reduce labor, save costs, and simple operation.

EVA: It is a solid at normal temperature, and it can be melted by heating to a certain degree and become a liquid with a certain viscosity.

EVA rubber and plastic products are new environmental protection plastic foaming materials, which have the advantages of good cushioning, shock resistance, heat insulation, moisture resistance, chemical resistance, etc., and are non-toxic and non-absorbent.

3. Different uses

Rubber foam: It can be used to produce flexible silicone rubber products such as insoles, shoulder pads, patches, non-slip pads, etc.

EVA: In order to make refrigerator ducts, gas pipes, civil plates, containers and daily necessities, it can also make packaging films, gaskets, medical equipment, and can also be used as hot-melt adhesives, cable insulation layers, etc. At present, the solar cell industry is used for the adhesion of the cell sheet to the surface photovoltaic glass and the battery back sheet in the crystalline silicon cell.
