The Types And Common Characteristics Of EVA Foam Packaging Materials

Mar 14, 2020

Eva foam is a plastic material composed of ethylene (E) and vinyl acetate (VA). The ratio of these two chemicals can be adjusted to meet different application needs. The higher the content of vinyl acetate (VA content), the higher the transparency, softness and toughness. The characteristics of EVA foam and PEVA are:

1. Biodegradable: It will not harm the environment when discarded or burned.

2, similar to the price of PVC: EVA foam is more expensive than toxic PVC, but relatively cheaper than phthalate-free PVC.

3. Lighter weight: The density of EVA ranges from 0.91 to 0.93, while that of PVC is 1.32.

4. No odor: EVA does not contain organic odors like Ammonia or others.

5, does not contain heavy metals: in line with relevant international toy regulations.

6, does not contain phthalates: suitable for children's toys and no plasticizer release danger.
